One of our top canoe / kayak experiences we've had in a while. Very scenic and the cypresses were beautiful. Kristi and the team were also awesome, very knowledgeable, and accommodating in helping set up our pup for his first canoe experience. Will definitely come back to explore more!

Kristi was so nice and easy to work with! She was on time and gave us a bunch of good tips on where to go. The bayou was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better trip.

Can't say enough good things about Riverbend Outfitters and Kristi. She is incredibly helpful and makes getting on and off the water as easy as possible. She was there waiting for us as soon as we arrived in town. The canoe we rented was super comfortable and being able to drop it off at a time that worked for us took the stress out of exploring.

Kristi was very accommodating and helpful in booking a canoe, she helped determine the correct size as well as was very prompt to reply to any message. The dock they are located by is also very close to Benton Lake a serene spot to see the cypress trees.

Riverbend Outfitters provide the perfect service for visitors looking to kayak the Bayou. Everything is waiting for you at the launch spot, a photo is provided to help you identify your rental(s) and in our case we had 2 days of access. The boats were good quality rentals. I highly recommend this as a way to see the beauty of the Caddo Lake/Big Cypress Bayou area.

We had an awesome experience dealing with Riverbend Outfitters. Very accommodating and great kayaking on big cypress! Saw a gator and the beauty of the trails, including lily pads and plants i don't know the names of...They have a nice little launch area and a great place to explore the trails and the lakes. A must see!! A pleasure to deal with these folks if you need a rental.

After a week of heavy rains here and in areas that impact the tributaries that feed the Big Cypress, Little Cypress, and Black Cypress Bayous, we have seen changes in the release rate from Lake O' the Pines...

With so many great places to paddle in and around Caddo and Lake O' the Pines, it can be hard to decide where to go. An area that is not always accessible is Carter's Lake right out from the TPWD launch off of FM 805...

The leaves have fallen, for the most part, on the lakes and bayous. That's just another beautiful trade-off, though, because birds and other wildlife are easier to see without the foliage!

Lake O' the Pines is one of the best places to paddle right now. Birding activity has increased as fish are pooled in areas that are not normally there, so whether you want to watch the skies or wet a hook, the lake is the place to be.

Soon we'll be posting photos and videos of the upper reach of the Big Cypress river from Lake O' the Pines to Jefferson, but in the meantime don't forget that the launch ramp at Jefferson is a great place to put in.
Life is simple. Just add water and PADDLE!
